Cravens Gardens Hotel was as expected for a two star. Good value for money. Room was very clean and request to change from double to twin was sorted at short notice. Downfall was very basic breakfast - only toast or cornflakes. Very quiet, good nights sleep. Staff very pleasant and helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at Craven Gardens Hotel. We will be booking again in the near future. I recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in London at a very reasonable cost. We look forward to our return visit

Nice hotel, nice area, centrally located - especially convenient for backpackers, but also for an easy going crowd

Small bedroom but with en suite. Breakfast very basic, no choice. TV in room ancient, with no volume control

Hotel room was clean but far too small, I had to move both beds when putting on my shoes. Bumped my head several times on the tv. Shower was alright. Continental breakfast is an insult to us continentals. I Didn't touch it.

The room was small but clean, location perfect, but the breakfast was not good. Breakfast consisted of a kettle, a huge margarine tub, a couple of bread bags, instant coffee and a toaster. The cutlery, plates and glases are the babies ones from Ikea (no joking). I was confused thinking I was at a hostel when they asked me for a 10 pounds deposit after I needed to borrow a hairdryer and they told me they share the premises with a hostel. I think price is quite expensive for the service you get.

I really liked it. It was very clean and the people were very friendly. The place where it is, is lovely. With the underground stations. It's great.

Good location near Hyde Park/Paddington etc. The hotel's really a group dorm-style hostel for the most part; and the cheap deals in that area look very reasonable. In the lobby area, out of order signs on e.g. internet connection, cash machine. Functional attention from rather bored reception staff. The hotel section itself (upstairs) is pretty basic: room very drab & dowdy, a little depressing frankly, rather grimy bathroom floor, squeaky springs in bed (like a school bed), lots of scrape/scratch/stain marks all over walls, and a very basic & uninteresting breakfast (toast, cornflakes, plastic vat of margarine, instant coffee). So, okay for someone not planning to spend much time in the room/hotel; but I suspect you can do a lot better for this kind of money
