We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in Hackney and wanted something reasonable. The person who greeted us was very friendly and even took one of our cases up to our room. We couldn't have picked a better place as the wedding was at the town hall which was within walking distance.
The only fault we found was that you can hear the people in other rooms very clearly, not sure if it because the walls are not well insulated or the people in the room were very noisy ( hardly had any sleep) otherwise this is well worth the money , also paid a bit extra for the continental breakfast which again was worth the money. Thank you
City Inn Express was very nice, clean and pleasant hotel for last minute booking. Staff were very friendly and considerate. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed.
Clean, friendly and very helpful. Rooms were warm and cosy. Tea and coffee in the room was nice in a low budget hotel. 24hr reception, and comfy lounge area. Continental breakfast was advertised, but we were offered eggs on toast - lovely on a cold morning! Although it advises free parking, there's only a couple of spaces though. Lucky it was quiet when we stayed. I would definitely recommend to those on a budget
Dirty bedding, noisy neighbours and tiny bathroom.
It's just nice although we found out there's no kettle in the room that we need to go and ask for one from them
City Inn Express provided everything I needed for a comfortable two nights' stay. The room was clean and well-serviced. My only criticism was that the 'continental breakfast' left a lot to be desired. I would recommend the hotel for value for money
Being a two star London hotel, I did not expect any luxury. The room was welcoming, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, bathroom, and a television set. I was quite disappointed with overall cleanliness of the hotel: room windows were very dirty and the bathroom had traces of hair from previous guests. Also, the hotel is quite close to the centre of London, but its location is not nice at all. To reach the hotel entrance you need to walk through what seems to be like an alley which is not at all welcoming. I would go to the same hotel if it was cheaper in price. I have been to nicer hotels and paid much less
Room was very small and toilet took some manoeuvring to sit on. Cooked breakfast was also a disappointment
Fantastic value for money. Travelled up for the Stone Roses gig it was ideal for us 5 lads. The rooms were clean and we also had free parking
The rooms at City Inn Express were basic but clean shower didn't work in my room. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Ideal for an over night stay in London
