City Inn Express Reviews page 5
Good: 1) It had 5 beds in the bedroom with a private bathroom. 2) The staff were friendly & helpful. 3) It was reasonably priced. Not good: 1) It was down a strange alley. 2) Limited parking 3) The beds were dirty 4) The bedroom facilities were limited 5) The cups and spoons at breakfast were not clean. Overall: I won't stay there again and do not recommend it.
The City Inn Express is the worst place I have ever stayed. The manager would not refund me £3 for breakfast I did not have, nor would he give me a glass of juice, because breakfast is not served before 8am. The room was smelly and had massive noise that went on all night. The shower leaked all night. Bad. Do not go. 0 stars.
City Inn Express Hotel is in a perfect location for were we needed to get to - the york hall. The room and bathroom were both spotless as was the walk ways. However the sleep was the most uncomfortable I've ever had due to mattress being paper thin, no duvet cover just the duvet itself, which although smelled clean you still get stains that are never coming off which is a bit off putting, 2 flat pillows and the bed base was broken at bottom. The hotel is at the end of a alleyway although lit if I had been away with the girls or kids alone I would be very uncomfortable with this. London itself is a amazing place to experience if you do choose this hotel bring a spare pillow and a bed sheet and you'll have a great stay!
Very good hotel, great breakfast, fast service...next holiday in London and I will book again with city inn express:)
The City Inn Express is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Lots of noise from other rooms. People shouting etc. The location left a lot to be desired. Staff not exactly friendly. All that was on offer for breakfast was cereal, eggs and toast and that was it. And the eggs were inedible. They added an extra 5 pound for admin fee. Room was very small and curtains were in a terrible state. You weren't allowed to take your key with you. Had to leave it at reception. All in all a really poor hotel.
City Inn Express was clean, easy to find, staff were very friendly and paid attention - felt very safe as a women travelling alone. This is cheap and cheerful in London if you need to be in Hackney. Beds a bit 'bumpy' and walls a bit thin - but all in all - good value
Comfortable London hotel, good location, near to Victoria Park, worth a visit. Staff very good, especially Reception staff, very friendly and helpful
Clean and comfy, no less than we expected really. Kettle/mugs/glasses all clean and plenty of towels. Staff friendly and helpful and would stay here again
The hotel itself is situated down an alleyway, so was a little tricky to find. But quickly the gentleman on reception came out to greet me. He was pleasant friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. The reception area, lounge and hallways were very clean and tidy. The room was a good size, with more than adequate storage space. However the shower room and toilet was incredibley cramped. Although it sounds like I'm complaining, I expected a cheap and cheerful hotel, as I was on a budget. And I got exactly what I wanted, somewhere cheap to rest my weary legs with pleasant helpful staff and plenty of local facilities to enjoy
Fairly good value for money. Close to centre, nice area. Room was small but quite clean. Bathroom was clean but shower was terrible. Housekeeping consisted of the duvet being roughly thrown over sheets. Staff were pleasant. Don't expect a view
