Carlton Hotel London Reviews page 6
The Carlton Hotel was clean, pleasant and quiet. Excellent location if you want to be near the centre of London or are travelling from/to Kings Cross. No frills or surprises but then again this must be one of the cheapest hotels in London!
I was on the 4th floor of the Carlton Hotel London. Lift was a bit scary so took the stairs, which would be fine for a 30 something. Room was clean and okay, like a university dormitory I guess. The road was very noisy but I had earplugs. I paid extra for a private bathroom, which was a small shower/loo. I had a TV and kettle in the room, plus the usual powdered milk. Didn't try the TV and I couldn't get the wireless to work, which was bit frustrating. The walls were thin so I was lucky that the lady in next room was quiet. Breakfast was fine. I'm not a meat eater so had the lukewarm, overcooked fried eggs and cold rubbery toast. It was exactly as expected for price. I always choose hotels that have an inclusive cooked breakfast as opposed to continental. Overall, I felt very safe on my own. The hotel is extremely easy to find. The guy on reception was nice and there are lots of food places around for evening meal. I would book again as it's relatively cheap and better than a hostel.
The room at the Carlton Hotel London was small but spotlessly clean. We arrived on the coldest night of the year but all through the night the heating was kept on and the beds were cosy and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good: all you could eat! Hotel situated very conveniently for train, tube and bus links. It was also a very quiet hotel, so will book there again!
Myself and a friend booked a twin room at the Carlton Hotel London. The night manager, Nigel, was lovely, friendly and extremely helpful, to the point of checking parking restrictions for me. The room was adequate for 3 hours sleep but the bathroom was very compact. The breakfast and the other staff were appalling. The buffet consisted of dry, cold bacon, shrivelled cold sausages and crusty, cold scrambled egg. There was no fruit juice, just sugared orange water and warm coffee and no toast. I chose this hotel as it was close to a club. Very sorry but if those rooms are worth £100, I will need to look at £200 rooms to find the standard we have in the rest of the country.
Great hotel, location walking distance of St Pancras, Kings Cross and underground tube. Fantastic breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Will book Carlton Hotel London again when visiting London

The Carlton Hotel London is as fine as any other London hotel in the same category. You know what you can expect from it by the of quality of the premises, but the kindness of the employees was super. The room I had was really noiseless: this is an added value in King's Cross.
Carlton Hotel London is a nice place very close to Kings Cross station where I was travelling from. Warm welcome, nice staff, nice breakfast. Worth spending to stay there.
Clean, comfortable and basic provisions. Perfect location for overnight stop when passing through Kings Cross or St Pancras
The hotel's location is perfect for travelling around London, its just across the road from both Kings Cross Rail and underground stations, lots of restaurants all less than 50 metres away on Euston Road. The hotel itself is a standard 3 star, clean, with basic amenities. Printing services are available for tickets etc, breakfast was good and plentiful, the staff were helpful. Only downside is that if you stay a multiple number of days they do not change the bedding when making up the room.
