There are plenty of tube stations in Haringey for you to use. If you start out at Turnpike Lane Tube Station, you’ll find it easy to travel to any part of London from here. If you want to hit central London for some serious shopping, head for Oxford Street. Oxford Circus Tube Station is only a 16 minute journey from Haringey. You can get to Baker Street Tube Station in just 18 minutes; here you’ll find the world-famous Madame Tussauds, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, London Zoo and the fascinating London Planetarium. If you take a trip to Knightsbridge Tube Station you can visit London’s most famous department store Harrods; it will only take you 22 minutes! If you fancy travelling slightly further afield why not spend a day at Kew gardens. It’s a 39 minute tube ride to Kew Gardens Tube Station, and well worth the journey.

If you decide to drive in Haringey then you may be lucky enough to find a hotel with parking. If not then you can park in the Bury Road Multi-Storey Car Park in Wood Green Town Centre. This is just over a mile from Turnpike Lane Tube Station.

If you decide to use taxis to get around the area you could use Westbury Cars on Westbury Avenue, or Harringay Cars on St. Ann’s Road. Both of these are relatively close to Turnpike Lane Tube Station.

As Haringey is such a large borough, you’ll be hard pressed to find many attractions outside of it that are within easy walking distance. However, if you do like leisurely afternoon strolls, bring some comfy walking shoes with you and you can explore the surrounds on foot. Set out from Turnpike Lane Tube Station and you can walk to trendy Islington, with all its bars, shops and restaurants ; It’ll take just 35 minutes. You can be in trendy Camden and explore Camden Market in 45 minutes, or why not head into the City and visit the spectacular St Paul’s cathedral. It’s a bit further away but you can be at St Paul’s in an hour, and it’s well worth the walk.
