New music and classic music will help you enjoy the winter evenings in the stunning locations of iconic and hidden venues across Spitalfields during Spitalfields Winter Festival from 3rd to 10th December 2017.

You’ll probably have never seen as many Santas in one place when many runners dressed as Father Christmas take part in the 5K charity fun run that is the Santa in the City across the streets of London, starting at Millennium Bridge, to be held on Wednesday 6th December 2017.

The huge Norwegian Christmas Tree that has been given from Oslo since 1947 will once more be the focal point of Trafalgar Square with its illuminations and choirs singing carols during Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree and Carols, with daily performances from Monday 11th to Friday 22nd December 2017 (except Tuesday 12th and Saturday 16th December).

Fans of all things equine will love watching the show-jumping competitions and going equestrian shopping at the London International Horse Show at Olympia Exhibition Centre from Tuesday 12th to Monday 18th December 2017.

The most iconic place in the capital to celebrate the arrival of the New Year is by the River Thames at the Mayor of London's New Year's Eve Fireworks Display by the London Eye on 31st December 2017, which in 2014 became a ticketed event, and tickets must be purcashed in advance.

Christmas Past at the Geffrye Museum gives visitors a trip back in time with its 11 period living rooms full of traditional decorations, greenery, lighting and music showing how the festive period was celebrated in English homes over the past 400 years, open from Tuesday 21st November 2017 to Sunday 7th January 2018.
