Named thanks to its location at the southern entrance to what was Epping Forest, Forest Gate is a residential area in the London Borough of Newham, just seven miles north-east of Charing Cross. Although there is not a lot to see in the area itself, it has excellent connections to the city centre via the Forest Gate railway station, which falls in Zone 3.
