		Amazingly located Royal Mile Backpackers is right on the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh. As you can stay here for next to nothing, you’d be a fool not to snap up a bed in a dorm here! You won’t need to waste money on public transport either as most of Edinburgh’s famous tourist attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, are within easy reach. With so much to see and do, it’s lucky that you’ll have 24 hour access to the hostel so that you can explore your surroundings day and night. Royal Mile Backpackers in Edinburgh A Typical Dormitory Bed at Royal Mile Backpackers Royal Mile Backpackers is a cosy, cheap Edinburgh hostel with enough beds for 46 people in centrally heated rooms. You can stay in a male only or a female only dormitory bed here, with each dorm sleeping between 8-10 people. There are plenty of hot showers and toilets for you all to share. Whenever you’re feeling hungry you can cook in the 24 hour kitchen and eat in the dining area. You should start off at the top of the hill at Edinburgh Castle, then work your way down to Holyrood House (the official Scottish royal residence). You can stop off on the way at places like Gladstone’s Land to experience home life in Medieval Edinburgh, the “lost city” of underground Mary King’s Close, or the Museum of Edinburgh. Plenty of other Edinburgh tourist attractions are within easy reach.

Directions
	•	By Train	:	The closest train station to Royal Mile Backpackers is Waverley Train Station. It only takes a few minutes to walk from here to the hostel so follow the by foot directions below.
	•	On Foot	:	Take the main exit out of Waverley Train Station onto Waverley Bridge and turn left. When you get to the end, cross the road and walk along Cockburn Street straight in front of you. Turn left into High Street (the Royal Mile) and you will find Royal Mile Backpackers on your left as you walk up this street.
