Directions


	•	By Train	:	Cardiff Central Station is the nearest convenient station to Talybont North Residence, just a long stroll or a short taxi/bus ride away.

	•	By Car	:	You should take junction 29 off of the M4 onto the A48 westbound. You will start to see signs for the Talybont Student Residence after the fifth turning. Go under the Gabalfa Interchange, get into the left hand lane and turn left at the traffic lights into Excelsior Road. Once you get to the mini roundabout take the 1st exit, then the first right, and then turn right again into Talybont. You should head for the reception at Southgate House.

	•	By Bus	:	Just outside the main entrance to Cardiff Central Station you will find Cardiff Bus Station. If you catch a number 21,24,27 or 35 bus it will take you along North Road which is only a short walk away from Talybont North Residence. Alternatively a taxi from Cardiff Central Station will cost approximately £7.

	•	On Foot	:	Exit Cardiff Central Station and walk onto Wood Street. Turn right and then turn left onto St Mary Street. Continue straight on as it becomes High Street and then turn right onto Duke Street. Follow this street round to the left as it becomes North Road. Continue along this road for a long stretch, until you come to Parkfield Place on your left. Turn right onto Bevan Place and you will come to Talybont Residence on your left.

Stayed in Talybont North Residence for one nightfor the speedway GP in Cardiff. Very pleasant surroundings, nice campus and the room was very clean and adequate for an overnight stay. I would not hesitate in stopping again for next years GP

On arrival at 8.15pm on a Friday, the whole area was like a ghost town. The 'welcome' was curt, but having got my key, I eventually found the room. The en-suite is a shower/sink/toilet enclosed unit within the room, although functional, not what I expected. The bed was very narrow. Also, the distance from the city centre is much longer than quoted, certainly more than 30 minutes walk.
