Don’t really have much negative to say about this hotel. It was clean, tick. Staff friendly, tick. Breakfast included, tick. Free WiFi throughout, tick. Proper London townhouse conversion, tick. The decoration is quite Spartan and can feel a bit soulless at times but I prefer that to gimmicks or bold colours. Only gripe is the name, as it’s not THAT near Hyde Park. About a ten minute walk, I’d say. Altogether, good value hotel

It was a last minute booking through TravelStay, we booked a double room at the Hyde Park Hotel, reception was friendly, but I was not aware of the new law, you have to show ID, I was asked for my passport or driving licence, I had neither, luckily I had my EHIC card, and that was OK for ID. There was a lift to our room on the first floor, and staff helped us with our luggage, we stayed for 9 nights, the room was adequate, we had a balcony, a TV, very comfortable huge double bed, the room was clean with a kitchenette next to the bed. There was no saucepan or teaspoon, but the fridge was great to have there was 2 plates 2 mugs 2 glasses 2 knives 2 big spoons, 2 forks frying pan, sink without a plug, a kettle that worked intermittently, and the usual milk coffee tea sachets. There was no room for a bedside table, the wardrobe was adequate and there was an office desk with a mirror. Drawers under the bed, and comfortable clean duvet and pillows. The furniture was faux leather and was flaking off the chair, there was plenty of electric sockets but 2 didn't work. the Shower room was small, but adequate, took me 2 attempts to figure out the control on the shower, but it was fine in the end, shower was adequate. All in all the room was fine, i needed ear plugs at night though we enjoyed our stay, would stay there again, it was so central, and the area was quiet, near 2 tube stations plenty of food shops, oh the internet access was intermittent, the hotel met our expectations, London is expensive anyway, so we feel we did well with this late booking

Hyde Park Hotel London is in a great location and friendly service staff. Water temperature is a bit unstable though, switching between hot and cold. Beds are comfortable

It was great to stay at this London hotel, staff was very nice, helpful and polite, they provided to us the biggest and luxury room because of the child, everything was clean and tidy, sometimes can hear the noise from neighbours, but we were very tired, so we wasn't worried much about it. Thx a lot guys
