Although the room me and my boyfriend were given was very small and right by the road side so quite loud, overall Camden Lock Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful and good at giving directions, really easy to get too and 5 minute walk into Camden Town

I have stayed in a few hotels around the country and Camden Lock is above average. The main thing is the bed was comfortable and spotless, the bathroom was spotless with hot water which is the main thing. The fixtures and fittings were not the best in the world but then again £97 weekend rate - you pay for what you get. Our room was over the front door which banged continuously in the dead of night and kept me awake for a while. If not for this, I would have given Camden Lock 4/5 instead of 3/5. I can confirm though we will stay there again, but not in Room 101!

Very clean and bright, everything white and looks fresh and crisp. From the name it sounds like it’s going to be a great location but actually it’s about a ten-minute walk from the best bits of Camden, nearer Chalk Farm. My room was perfectly comfortable for a three-night stay and I’d stay there again as the price was reasonable for the quality and location

Good sized bed at Camden Lock Hotel, comfy night sleep, en suite a little small but plenty of hot water, heating was working in the bedroom, staff friendly although dining area very disappointing, a lick of paint on the chairs and iron railings on the stairs would do the trick. Carpets on stairs, old and tatty could do with a good shampoo or replaced altogether. We went elsewhere for breakfast on day three. The owner needs to spend a penny or two on an upgrade for guests. Doubt if I we will return again
