If you want to feel as though you have experienced old England you really must stay at the Marble Arch Inn. The place is wonderfully creaky and wooden with nothing completely perpendicular. The Marble Arch Inn has friendly staff, is convieniently located and the tube is close by. For the adventurous traveller it serves as a reminder that the good stuff is outside the hotel room. I can recommend the Marble Arch Inn to anyone on a budget

There's not much to say about the Marble Arch Inn really. It's a typical central London Hotel and does it's job well. Everything worked but was in miniature. I would come back though

The Marble Arch Inn has really small bedrooms and the bathroom was tiny but at least it was clean, the staff friendly and couldn't be better located

Good basic hotel. Good location. Rooms are tiny but adequate for a short stay, nice helpful staff, we shall use this hotel again in the future

Being a two star hotel we didn't expect anything too special. The rooms however, were extremely small (about 8 feet square) and a very tight fit for us. The shower was so small that it was really difficult to wash properly (and I'm not a big person). But in fairness, with a bed for the night, and our own toilet and shower that's basically all we needed. We asked for a quiet room and although it was away from the traffic we found it almost impossible to sleep, all the doors in the hotel slammed loudly and with other guests leaving and returning at all hours of the day and night and then revelling through the early hours we found that by 4.00 am we'd still had no sleep so we decided to put the TV on and turn up the volume to cover all of the other noises going on around us. We eventually managed some sleep but only with the TV on. The biggest downfall was the lack of an English Breakfast. The hotel information when we booked said that we could get an English Breakfast in the cafe on the opposite side of the road but there isn't even a cafe there let alone one for us to get a breakfast. Had we known this when booking it's unlikely that we would have gone there as we like to venture out to see the sites and a good breakfast sees us through most of the day. Trying to get an English meal anywhere in the area was almost impossible. The location of the hotel was close to the underground which was a great advantage. We had clean towels each day and found the staff friendly enough but I'm not too sure if we would stay there again. Although the hotel management can't really be responsible for noisy guests they could at least put closers on all of the doors to prevent them from slamming and keeping other people awake for most of the night
