Salisbury Green is the oldest of the Pollock Halls of Residence and was built in 1748. The porch entrance leads through a handsome hall of oak-pannelled doorcases, and the Georgian wing makes Salisbury Green a residence full of character. With only 49 residents it has a very homely feel to it

By Plane : Edinburgh's International Airport has direct flights from a number of European centres. There are regular flights to and from London, and visitors from North America can fly direct to Glasgow (40 miles) from Edinburgh
By Train : The nearest mainline train station is Waverley Station in the centre of the City. By Car : The King's Buildings Campus can be accessed from the A701 from from the City Bypass (A720) until it becomes Mayfield Road. Entrance gates 3 and 4 can be found on Mayfield Road with entrance gates 1 and 2 on West Mains Road. Visitors using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and Engineering Faculty) and continue straight ahead until through Causewayside until you reach the central area
By Bus : Take the following buses to the city centre from Dalkeith Road (A68) near Pollock Halls. 2, 2A, 7N, 14, 21, 29, 30, 33, 82, 85, 88, 95, 96, 131, 134, 145, C3, C11
