Pollock halls of residence nestles under the shadow of Arthur's Seat -the extinct volcano which rises 800 feet above the city. The Castle and Princes Street are within walking distance. Accommodation comprises of en-suite and shared facility single rooms. The range of accommodation suits all sorts of visitors, from individual travellers and families to larger parties such as conference groups

By Train : The nearest mainline train station is Waverley Station in the centre of the City. By Car : The King's Buildings Campus can be accessed from the A701 from from the City Bypass (A720) until it becomes Mayfield Road. Entrance gates 3 and 4 can be found on Mayfield Road with entrance gates 1 and 2 on West Mains Road. Visitors using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and Engineering Faculty) and continue straight ahead until through Causewayside until you reach the central area
