Mayfield Road is one of the smaller and quieter blocks of University flats, located in the South Newington area on the site of one of Edinburgh's former suburban railway stations. With the exception of the flats at West Mains Road, Mayfield Road is the nearest block of University flats to the large King's Buildings campus, located some 600 metres to the south.
