Shaplands consists of 66 flats arranged into 8 blocks. Located 3 miles from Bristol City Centre and a few minutes' walk from the Downs, University Hall offers self-catering accommodation over the summer months.






Each self-contained flat contains 3 single study bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, lounge, toilet, shower and kitchen/diner. For shared accommodation, single bedrooms consist of en-suite shower room/toilet, shared kitchen in 6 person flat. Both 5 and 6 person flats have a telephone, a kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, breakfast bar/table and chairs and cooking utensils. Bed linen is included in the cost

Facilities include: Tourist Information, BBQ and patio area, squash courts, pool, table tennis and croquet, computer room, music room, bar, TV/video room and launderette. Flats 59-66 (single en-suite) are non smoking and no bikes are permitted in the halls. A cot is available on request and a public swimming pool is only a short drive away. There is ample off-street car parking too

Directions
• By Car : There is a freephone number by the telephone opposite the launderette. Taxis are safe and when you share a taxi it is a reasonably economical way of travelling to the city in the evenings. However, you should never enter a private hire vehicle unless it is pre-booked.
• By Bus : Bus Numbers 41 and 42 buses run from Parry’s Lane to Whiteladies Road, The Triangle, The University, Park Row and the Bus Station. This service runs approximately every 15 minutes during the day and at 30-minute intervals during the evening. The Student Link bus service is available from the Stoke Bishop site to the Students Union and Centre in the evening, and the Students’ Union run a minibus service for women to get back to Hall during the evening.
• On Foot : University Hall is approximately 2 miles from main University buildings. Many walk up Hollybush Lane, across the Downs and then on into the City – this takes from 30-40 minutes.
