Directions


	•	By Train	:	The nearest train station to Chalmers Bed and Breakfast is Ayr. You should take the short taxi ride from here to the hotel, or alternatively follow the By Foot directions below.

	•	By Car	:	From Prestwick Airport: Head south towards the B739 and turn right onto Kilmarnock Road. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A77 and then at the Sandyford Toll Roundabout take the second exit onto the A719. Then at the Whitletts Roundabout take the second exit onto the A77. At the Holmston roundabout take the third exit onto the A70, carry on over two more roundabouts and then turn left onto the A79/Parkhouse Street. Follow the A79 into Carrick Road where you will find Chalmers Bed and Breakfast located at number 34.

	•	On Foot	:	Leave Ayr Rail Station and head towards Station Bridge. Follow the road round to the right and turn left on to Parkhouse Street, which become Carrick Road. You will find Chalmers Bed and Breakfast at number 34 on your right hand side.

Very accommodating. Good reception on arrival. Clean, tidy and fresh. Breakfast super. Very friendly. Perfect for what I needed for a 1 night stay. Service excellent. Well done.

I arrived at Chalmers Bed & Breakfast very late at night and was met with a charming welcome. A nicely furnished house although my room was barely big enough for my two suitcases .This was the smallest room however. Very pleasant people, willing to help and offer advice. Graeme the owner, even offered to take me to the nearby railway station with my suitcases in the morning. Breakfast was lovely with a wide range of food available, just a pity there was no hot food proposed. I would be very happy to recommend this delighful bed and breakfast to friends and travellers. Well positioned with only a 10 minute walk to the very centre of town and railway station

The room we had was lovely,obviously recently decorated, with a private bathroom for our sole use. Our hosts Graeme and Ann were genuinely friendly and very helpful with directions and suggestions for eating out. Breakfast was spot on with a varied choice.Our host even offered free transport to the railway station (saved a soaking) for our onward journey to Prestwick airport. Would definitely use again.
