Excellent value for money Lonodon hostel. Simple and cheap. Breakfast was included. The hostel is in Bayswater, on a nice quiet, safe feeling side street, 1 minute walk from Queensway Tube Station. Ladies toilets were filthy and the floor was flooded with water leaking through from the next door shower room. Didn't expect them to be very clean though for this price, although a sanitary bin would have been of use to prevent sanitary items being placed around the toilet itself

The ventilation could be improved as with so many people in one room there is a need for fresh air and the windows will only open a few inches. this is not enough. I know it is extra work but it would be a better stay for the individual if they were allocated a specific bed in the room. I am 57 years old and all the young guys took the bottom bunks. had to climb into a top bunk which is not the best. It could be argued that London hostels are for the young but I stay at hostels all the time and I have lots of friends from Australia that choose to do the same, the accommodation should be age appropriate, lower floor for older people and lower bunks for older people. I really dont think someone that is 20 years old will care if they are in the top bunk. Given the money I paid I guess I can't complain but the stay could have been better with a little thought put into it by those making the bookings
