We were in Room 301 at Bankside House, the shower controls were back to front and we nearly scalded ourselves, other than that it was good for the price we paid and the breakfast was excellent

Have stayed here before. For the money, the location is brilliant but little things do disappoint: there were no towels in the room or shower gel when we arrived. Went back downstairs to reception because no-one was answering the phone. Very pleasant gentleman on reception gave me double portions of shampoo and shower gel, and said housekeeping would supply towels. Went out for a walk. On return towels had appeared but housekeeping had decided our supplies of soap/shampoo were too generous and had removed half! The following morning went to shower - 8:45am on a Sunday morning. Hot water was tepid at best, but by the time I had washed my hair was stone cold. Breakfast is good quality and big choice, but the queue! Would say standards are slipping since my last visit
